The name Sa-Moerse was adopted from the nation saying for something that is very nice.

The nation would say it is "moerse lekker"!!!

Sa-Moerse Lekker had its conception when the owner, Antoinette du Preez decided in 2020 that she wants to start a business. The business started as a sauce manufacturer, where she manufactured craft sauces for the market.

She then in June 2021, decided to brew the traditional "mampoer" as, we all are used to it, a craft that came generations with the nation. After she obtained the necessary legal requirement as per South African law, she started with this.

The "mampoer" distilling was successful and customers start to request Gin. She started to manufacture Gin, and she expanded the range to crafted Whiskey, Brandy, Rum, Liqueurs and Cocktails.

The initial market where craft markets where people could buy all different crafts and arts. The customer based grew as the product was of quality and priced right for everyone to enjoy and afford it. 

With a lot of grace and blessing, the business grew, and she start to sell to different stakeholders and on-line to customers. 

The motto is and will stay to be a craft manufacturer, that supply a quality well priced product to the market.
